In the morning you will all meet here together for the Lenten talks. Even if things don’t go so smoothly and you feel tired or weak, you will notice that others feel the same way. But that is normal. You can encourage each other and thus everyone draws new motivation again.
Throughout the day you will find selected herbal teas from organic cultivation as well as ionized spring water (alkaline pH 8.2).

The classic
Buchinger fasting or Buchinger therapeutic fasting is an extremely effective fasting variant.
It has a positive effect on several disease patterns, including skin diseases, e.g. neurodermatitis, rheumatic diseases and fibromyalgia (also known as soft tissue rheumatism) as well as high blood pressure. The effects are particularly noteworthy in type II diabetes or the corresponding precursor.
In Buchinger fasting, the fasting persons abstain from solid food. Instead, a green coffee with Chinese medicinal mushrooms awaits our fasters in the morning. Since the green coffee is not roasted, it has a high content of chlorogenic acid. The chlorogenic acid in combination with the two medicinal mushrooms has positive effects on blood sugar and fat burning, as well as on blood pressure.
At lunchtime, freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices are available daily. We end the evening with a freshly prepared vegetable broth.
A course of treatment can be carried out between one to three weeks. Accompanying the fasting we offer a varied program with hikes, nutrition and health advice and various lectures. In addition, besides the fixed daily program, you can put together your own, completely individual wellness program in the WaldSpa while swimming, taking a sauna or steam bath. Massages, yoga and meditation, as well as breathing exercises or nature coaching make the fasting cure your individual source of strength.

Inflammation and the gut go hand in hand
The optimal composition of intestinal bacteria ideally ensures the well-functioning activity of the colon.
Hundreds of species of bacteria live in the intestine and together they form the microbiome. This natural interplay controls much of our digestive performance. However, many people suffer from a digestive disorder, usually disease-promoting intestinal bacteria are responsible.
Triggers are many. This includes, above all, an incorrect diet (among other things, as a result of denatured foods with dyes and flavor enhancers), too much alcohol and nicotine, or stress.
If the intestinal motor system no longer runs smoothly, the pathogenic bacteria can continue to spread. Inflammation in the intestines can cause substances to enter the body that do not belong there.
During colon hydrotherapy, the colon is flushed with water and thoroughly cleansed. The natural movement of the intestines should be restored and possible deposits eliminated. Success in the form of disappeared intestinal complaints are not uncommon after several sessions (the number of which varies individually). The treatment is relaxed and covered in a comfortable lateral position.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is based on a millennia-old and proven form of healing medicine.
Early on, the ancient Chinese possessed extensive knowledge of a person’s natural positive energy flow and how to rebalance it.
Adapted to the individual energy flows of each person, a customized treatment concept is created from the various classical healing methods of TCM according to the Chinese diagnosis.
A therapy session is usually started with a comprehensive initial anamnesis, in which dysfunctions of all major organ systems are queried as well as nutritional habits and psychological symptoms. Pulse and tongue diagnostics complete the findings from the conversation. After discussing the current condition, the initial anamnesis includes nutritional counseling tailored to your needs and ear acupuncture.

Acupuncture acts mainly on disturbed organ functions, emotions and imbalances in the body. According to the TCM model, the meridians, the energy channels of our body, run under our skin. If a thin needle manipulates the skin layers at so-called acupuncture points, this provides an interaction between the internal organs and the nerve guidance pathways. Disturbances in the entire organism, i.e. also in the interior, can be alleviated, often even eliminated.

In TCM, different ear regions are assigned to specific body organs and body parts. Ear acupuncture is particularly successful due to its relaxing and balancing effect in the treatment of pain, addiction, conditions affecting the central nervous system, such as anxiety, dizziness or lack of concentration.

The medicines in Chinese medicine are an individual composition of different parts of plants (roots, barks, flowers and leaves) and minerals. On the basis of an initial medical history, they are adapted to the symptoms of the individual patient.
Traditional Chinese Medicine treats both acute and chronic diseases with Chinese medicines. In principle, there is no restriction on the applicability of herbal therapy to certain diseases.

In China, moxa therapy is respected as a therapy equal to acupuncture when indicated. Thus, it is intended to stimulate the flow of energy and act against so-called “cold” conditions. The moxa contains dried mugwort, whose property of emitting a very long-wave heat is used to warm the body deep inside.
One theory put forth by Western practitioners is that the heat stimulates nerve endings in the skin, which is thought to stimulate the pituitary and adrenal glands to release hormones.
